Why rent the Sportage in Dubai
If you are searching for a Kia Sportage rental in Dubai you probably want a mid-size SUV that is easy to park, comfortable on Sheikh Zayed Road and does not cost a fortune to run. The fifth-generation Sportage does all three. The version we hold is the 2024 model with the 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine and a six-speed automatic gearbox, which is the engine most Sportages sold in the UAE come with. It produces around 155 hp and 192 Nm, enough for Dubai traffic and the motorway to Abu Dhabi without feeling strained.
The key numbers for a renter are these:
- Five seats with proper rear legroom for adults, not just children
- Boot of around 543 litres with the rear seats up, growing to roughly 1,800 litres with them folded - enough for five suitcases or a weekly shop plus a pushchair
- Official combined fuel economy in the region of 7.7 to 7.9 L/100 km for the 2.0-litre petrol, so a tank typically covers a full week of commuting
- Automatic climate control, which matters more in Dubai than almost anywhere else
- Rear parking sensors, a rear-view camera, cruise control and Apple CarPlay on our car
The Sportage shares its platform and engine with the Hyundai Tucson, which is also in our fleet at the same monthly price. The choice is mostly down to styling and which one is available on your dates.
Kia Sportage rental in Dubai: what it costs at Urban Go
These are the rates for our 2024 Kia Sportage. All prices are in AED and include VAT.
| Rental period | Price | Included mileage |
|---|---|---|
| Daily | AED 150 per day | 250 km per day |
| Weekly | AED 850 per week | 250 km per day |
| Monthly | AED 2,899 per month | 4,000 km per month |
| 3 months | AED 8,262 (AED 2,754 per month) | 4,000 km per month |
| 6 months | AED 15,654 (AED 2,609 per month) | 4,000 km per month |
The monthly and longer rates are where the Sportage makes most sense. On a six-month contract you are paying around AED 2,609 a month for a current-model SUV with insurance, registration and servicing all handled by us. See the Kia Sportage 2024 vehicle page for the live availability, or compare it with the rest of our SUV rental range in Dubai.
What is included
- Comprehensive insurance. Smart Cover and Full Cover upgrades are available if you want a lower or zero excess.
- 4,000 km per month on monthly rentals, 250 km per day on daily and weekly rentals. Extra kilometres are charged at a per-km rate we agree before you sign.
- VAT-inclusive pricing. The figure we quote on WhatsApp is the figure on the contract.
- Registration, servicing and routine maintenance. If the car needs a service during a long rental we usually arrange a swap, though swaps are not guaranteed.
- Standard security deposit of AED 1,500, refunded after the car is returned and any Salik or fines have cleared. A zero-deposit option is available on request - read how it works on our no-deposit car rental page.
Not included: fuel (the car goes out with a set level and comes back at the same level), Salik tolls (passed through at cost plus AED 1 per pass) and any traffic fines, which are passed through to you as issued by the RTA or Dubai Police.
Who it suits
Families new to Dubai. Five seats, a big boot and a high driving position. The monthly rate on our monthly car rental in Dubai page is the one most families take while they decide whether to buy.
Daily commuters. If you drive from Dubai Marina or JVC to DIFC or Business Bay every day, the Sportage sits comfortably in the fast lane and returns reasonable fuel economy for an SUV. The 4,000 km monthly allowance covers a 60 km round trip every working day with room to spare.
Visitors on a two to four week trip. The weekly rate at AED 850 is good value for a group of four or five with luggage, and the car handles the drive to Abu Dhabi, Al Ain or Hatta without any fuss.
Documents you need
UAE residents need an Emirates ID and a valid UAE driving licence. Visitors need a passport, a visa or entry stamp, and a home-country driving licence. If your licence is not on the MOI list of recognised countries you will also need an International Driving Permit.
How to book

- Collect from our office at Dubai Shopping Center, Office FF-30, Port Saeed, or ask for delivery. Delivery is available on weekly and monthly rentals and is centred on Downtown Dubai; tell us your location and we will confirm whether it is covered.
- Pay the rental and the deposit (or choose the zero-deposit option), sign, and drive off.
Urban Go is an RTA-authorised rental agency with a 5.0 rating from 50 Google reviews. If the Sportage is booked out on your dates, we will offer you the Tucson or another car from our SUV range at the same price band.
