Zero-deposit option - Dubai
No Deposit Car Rental Dubai - The Honest Version
Plenty of Dubai rental sites advertise "no deposit" and hide the cost somewhere else. We price it in the open: renting with a standard refundable deposit is the default, and a zero-deposit add-on is there as an option when you would rather not lock up cash. Every car below shows both routes in its quote calculator.

How no-deposit car rental actually works in Dubai
A security deposit exists to cover traffic fines and Salik that arrive after you return the car. Companies offering "no deposit" have not made that risk disappear - they have priced it into something else: a higher daily rate, a bigger insurance excess, or fine-processing fees. As an RTA-authorised rental dealer and agency, we would rather show you the actual price of skipping the deposit and let you decide.
The two ways to rent with us
- Standard route (default): a refundable security deposit of AED 1,500 on most cars (AED 2,000 on luxury models), returned after the rental once fines have cleared. This is usually the cheaper option overall.
- Zero-deposit add-on (optional): instead of the hold, you pay a small non-refundable premium - for example, around AED 210 per month on a Nissan Kicks. The exact figure for any car is shown in its quote calculator before you commit.
When zero-deposit makes sense
The add-on suits short visits where you do not want AED 1,500 tied up past your departure, tight first-month budgets when you have just landed in Dubai, and anyone who simply values the simplicity. If you are renting for several months and can spare the float, the refundable deposit normally works out cheaper - we will tell you that on WhatsApp too.
Everything else stays the same
Whichever route you choose, your rental includes comprehensive insurance, registration, routine maintenance with a swap car usually available on service days (subject to availability), 24/7 roadside assistance and 4,000 km per month on monthly plans. Fuel is yours, Salik is recharged at cost plus AED 1 per pass, and any traffic fines are passed through.
