What rental durations do you offer?

Weekly and monthly rates are discounted compared to the daily rate.

Monthly rentals renew month to month via WhatsApp. We send you a reminder a day or two before your renewal date.

What is the minimum rental duration?

There isn't one. Rent for a single day if that's all you need. That said, the longer you rent, the more you save. Great long-term value is what Urban Go is known for among our customers.

How do I book a car?

Accepted Answer

Booking takes a few minutes and happens on WhatsApp. Once your quote reaches us with its reference code, we confirm availability and arrange delivery or pickup. Most bookings are confirmed within minutes. On the website: pick your car, build your quote in the calculator (dates, deposit choice, insurance, add-ons), then tap "Book on WhatsApp". Your full quote is sent to our chat automatically.

What documents do UAE residents need?

Just two things: Your Emirates ID. Your valid UAE driving license. Share photos of both (front and back sides of your Emirates ID and driving license) on WhatsApp and you're set.

What documents do tourists need?

Three things: Your passport. Your visit visa or entry stamp. Your home-country driving license. Depending on which country issued your license, an International Driving Permit (IDP) may also be needed. Visitors from the GCC, US, UK, Canada, Europe, and certain other countries (ask us) can drive with their home country driving license, no IDP needed. Pro Tip: if you do need an IDP, we may be able to share details of providers in your country that our past customers have used. Don't hesitate to reach out and have a chat.

What is the minimum age to rent?

Can I rent with a newly issued license?

Accepted Answer

Yes, for most of our fleet. A few vehicles require at least one year of driving experience. We'll let you know if the car you've chosen is one of them.

Question 10

Can someone else drive the car?

Accepted Answer

Insurance only covers drivers registered on the rental agreement. If a friend or family member will be driving too, they can be added for a small fee. Just share their documents with us. Please don't let an unregistered driver take the wheel. Any incident wouldn't be covered, and that's a risk to them, not just to us. On the website: select the Additional Driver add-on in the calculator, or simply ask us on WhatsApp.

Is the price in the calculator the final price?

Yes. The grand total includes your rental rate, chosen insurance, mileage package, add-ons, and VAT. The only costs not included are the ones based on how you use the car: fuel, Salik (toll) crossings, parking, and any traffic fines during your rental. What you see is what you pay. Never more. What's included in the rental fee?

Are longer rentals cheaper?

Do you accept promo or referral codes?

Yes! Codes have validity dates, so if one doesn't work, double-check the spelling and expiry with whoever shared it. Or just ask us. On the website: enter your code at the bottom of the quote calculator before booking and the discount applies instantly.

How do payments work for 3, 6, and 9 month packages?

Accepted Answer

You pay your first month plus the refundable deposit upfront. Each rental cycle is 30 days, and your renewal payment is due on day 30, covering the next cycle. Example: rental starts 1 March → renewal due 30 March for the cycle starting 31 March. No hidden fees — the rate you book is the rate you pay.

What if I need the car a few days beyond my contract?

You keep your package rate. We divide your monthly rate by 30 to get your daily rate, and you only pay for the extra days (rounded to the nearest dirham). Example: AED 2,549/month ÷ 30 = AED 85/day → 6 extra days = AED 510. Extensions of 30 days or more are billed as a full monthly renewal at your same rate.

Can I cancel my package early?

Yes. Plans change, and we get it. You can end your package before the rental period finishes by giving us written notice on WhatsApp. An early termination fee of up to 2 monthly installments may apply as per your contract, and your refundable deposit is released after vehicle inspection. Full terms are in your rental agreement.

Do I have to pay a security deposit?

Only if you choose to. Every car comes with two prices: a lower rate with a refundable security deposit (or credit hold), or a slightly higher rate with no deposit at all. On the website: toggle between both options in the calculator and compare the totals upfront.

How much is the deposit and when do I get it back?

Accepted Answer

The deposit amount varies by vehicle and is always shown before you book. It's refunded after the car is returned, once the 28-day fine-clearance window passes. That's the time Dubai's traffic systems take to register any fines against the vehicle, so we can close everything out cleanly. Credit holds are released automatically. If you paid in cash or by card machine, just share your bank details with us and our accounting team will process your refund promptly.

Which option should I choose: deposit or no deposit?

Renting longer and don't mind a temporary hold? The deposit option costs less overall. Prefer to keep your money free, especially for shorter rentals or a visit to Dubai? Do you deliver the car?

Yes. We deliver across Dubai and collect the car when your rental ends. Delivery is an additional service, but depending on your location and rental, you may qualify for free delivery. Pro Tip: message our team on WhatsApp with your location and we'll tell you if free delivery applies to you.

Do you deliver to Dubai Airport?

Yes. Your car can be waiting for you when you land at Dubai International Airport (DXB). Share your flight details with us and we'll track your arrival, so the car is there even if your flight is delayed. On the website: select airport delivery in the calculator, then send your flight details on WhatsApp.

What should I check when the car is handed over?

We document the car's condition, fuel level, and mileage together with you at handover, with photos. Take a minute to walk around the car and point out anything you notice. It protects you when you return it. Keep the photos until your rental (and deposit refund, if applicable) is complete. Pro Tip: you can ask our driver to share the handover videos with you on WhatsApp for your own records.

Is there a mileage limit?

Each car includes a daily mileage allowance, shown on its page. If you go over your allowance, additional kilometers are simply charged at the rate listed for that vehicle. No surprises. On the website: planning a lot of driving? Add an extra-kilometer package in the calculator.

How do Salik (toll) charges work?

Salik gates charge automatically as you drive through them. Nothing to do on your end. Crossings during your rental are billed when you return the vehicle, or at the end of each renewal cycle for monthly rentals.

What happens if I get a traffic fine?

Fines are registered against the vehicle automatically by Dubai Police and the RTA. Any fines picked up during your rental are billed to you. Pro Tip: drive safe. Dubai's cameras are impressively efficient.

Can I swap to a different car during my rental?

Monthly customers can swap at renewal, subject to availability. A new quote applies for the new vehicle. Want to swap before the end of your rental? That's sometimes possible too, though it may involve an extra delivery charge. Just speak to our team and we'll figure out the best option.

Can I drive to other Emirates? What about Oman?

All seven Emirates: yes! Your rental covers the whole UAE, so explore freely. Oman is different. Our vehicles aren't permitted outside UAE borders, so please keep your road trips within the country.

What is the fuel policy?

Same-to-same: you receive the car at a documented fuel level and return it at the same level. If it comes back lower, we charge for the difference plus a small refueling fee. Pro Tip: topping up before return is always the cheaper move.

What insurance is included?

Standard comprehensive insurance is included with every rental at no extra cost. If an accident isn't your fault (confirmed by a green police report), you're fully covered. If it is your fault, an excess amount applies, which varies by vehicle.

For extra peace of mind, you can upgrade to Full Cover for a small fee that varies by vehicle. Full Cover protects you against all accident damage, regardless of who's at fault, as long as there's a police report. On the website: add Full Cover in the calculator and your total updates instantly.

What should I do if I have an accident?

Accepted Answer

First: make sure everyone is safe, and move out of traffic if you can. Second: call Dubai Police on 999. In the UAE, a police report is required for every accident, even minor scratches. Insurance can't process any claim without one. Third: once you have the report, message us on WhatsApp and we'll guide you through the rest. You're not on your own.

How do I return the car?
