Is a weekly rental cheaper than a daily one?

Yes, from about the fourth day of the same rental. A weekly plan is usually 10 to 15 percent lower per day than booking each day on its own.

It suits three common cases: a one-week holiday, a short work trip, and the days when your own car is in the workshop. If your stay runs past two weeks, a monthly plan is normally cheaper again. We will point that out on your quote.

What is included in a weekly rental?

  • Comprehensive insurance
  • Vehicle registration
  • 24/7 roadside assistance
  • Delivery and collection included on weekly plans, centred on Downtown Dubai and the surrounding communities

What is not included?

  • Fuel. You return the car with the same fuel level you received.
  • Salik and Darb tolls. We bill each crossing at cost, plus a small handling fee per crossing.
  • Traffic fines. These are billed to you if you get one.

Tolls and fines appear on your final statement, so nothing is charged without a record.

Can I change my dates during the week?

Yes. Message us on WhatsApp before your return date. We will re-price the rental for the longer period.

You do not pay for two bookings on the same car. If a week turns into a month, you move to the monthly rate.

Questions we get about this

When does a weekly rate beat a daily rate?
From about the fourth day of the same rental. Weekly rates are usually 10 to 15 percent lower per day than booking day by day. Under four days, a daily rate is normally better. Past two weeks, a monthly plan is normally better.
How much fuel and Salik should I budget for a week?
Fuel depends on the car and how far you drive. A small sedan used around the city costs little to fill for a week. Salik and Darb tolls cost a few dirhams per crossing. We bill each crossing at cost plus a small handling fee. If you drive mainly around Marina and Downtown, expect a few crossings each day.
Can I extend a weekly rental into monthly?
Yes. Message us on WhatsApp before your return date. We re-price the whole rental at the monthly rate, so you are not paying for two overlapping bookings.
Is delivery included on a weekly rental?
Yes. Delivery and collection in Dubai are included on every weekly plan, including DXB and Al Maktoum. See our /car-rental-dubai-airport page for how the airport handover works.
What documents do UAE residents need to rent a car?
Your UAE driving licence and your Emirates ID, front and back of both. Send photos on WhatsApp when you book and we check them before delivery.
What documents do visitors and tourists need to rent a car in Dubai?
Your passport, your visit visa or entry stamp, and your home-country driving licence. You only need an International Driving Permit if your country is not on the UAE's recognised list. Visitors from the GCC, US, UK, Canada and most of Europe can drive on their home licence. The minimum age is 21.
