Global Village Parking: Free Zones, Paid Zones and VIP

25 October 2026Urban Go6 min read

Every Global Village car park for Season 31: the free zones near the Gate of the World, the weekend overflow, the AED 75, AED 120 and AED 200 paid options, and when to arrive.

An open car park at dusk with festival lights and tents in the distance

Global Village opened its 31st season on 14 October 2026 and runs until May 2027. Most visitors drive, and Gulf News warns that parking fills up quickly at weekends. The question that matters before you set off is which car park to aim for, and whether you want to pay.

This guide sets out every parking zone Global Village lists for Season 31, which are free and which are paid, how far each is from the entrances, and what changes on weekends and Tuesdays. Prices and distances are from Global Village's own visitor page, checked against Gulf News and Khaleej Times.

The short version

  • Free parking: P1, P3 and P5 sit about 400 to 450 metres from the Gate of the World entrance.

  • Overflow: P7 to P11 are free but open only on weekends, public holidays and busy days, about 1 km from the Cultural Gate, with a free shuttle bus.

  • Paid parking: AED 75 a day at Paid Parking 2 near the Happiness Gate, AED 120 a day at Paid Parking, and AED 200 a day for VIP Parking.

  • The park is open 4pm to midnight Sunday to Wednesday and until 1am Thursday to Saturday and on public holidays.

  • Tuesdays, except public holidays, are reserved for families, couples and ladies.

The free car parks

Global Village lists three free zones close to the main entrance. P1 and P3 are about 400 metres from the Gate of the World, and P5 is about 450 metres away. Gulf News adds that these fill up quickly, especially in the evening, so arriving near opening time gives you the best chance of a space.

When those are full, the overflow zones take over. P7, P8, P9, P10 and P11 are free but open only on weekends, public holidays and other busy days, according to Global Village. They are about 1 km from the Cultural Gate, and you can take a free shuttle bus to the gate or a rickshaw from AED 10.

Khaleej Times described the same layout last season, so the zones themselves are not new. Because Global Village lists the overflow zones for weekends, public holidays and busy days only, do not count on them for a weekday visit.

The paid options

There are three paid zones, and the prices are per day rather than per hour. Paid Parking 2 costs AED 75 a day and is about 350 metres from the Happiness Gate entrance, which makes it the closest paid option to an entrance that Global Village gives a distance for. Paid Parking costs AED 120 a day on weekdays and weekends.

VIP Parking costs AED 200 a day for anyone without a VIP pack, and is free for VIP pack holders, according to Global Village and Gulf News. Khaleej Times reports one change for Season 31: VIP parking can now be paid at self-payment machines before you reach the exit, where last season payment was only possible at the exit itself.

Two zones are reserved: POD Parking for People of Determination, and Parking A for A Sticker holders. Global Village also lists free entry for People of Determination and one companion.

Getting there by car

Gulf News places Global Village on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road (E311). Global Village's own page links each car park to Google Maps, so you can set your destination to the zone you want rather than to the venue in general.

Whether you pass a Salik gate depends on where you start and the road you take. Our Salik guide explains how the charges work. For parking elsewhere in the city, see our Dubai parking guide and our Dubai Mall parking guide.

Plan the time as well as the route. Gulf News advises giving yourself extra time at weekends because parking fills up quickly, and the closing time moves to 1am from Thursday to Saturday, so check which night you are going before you decide when to leave.

Opening times, Tuesdays and tickets

For Season 31, Global Village lists opening hours of 4pm to midnight from Sunday to Wednesday, and 4pm to 1am from Thursday to Saturday and on public holidays. Gulf News gives the same hours.

Tuesdays, except official public holidays, are reserved for families, couples and ladies, according to Global Village. If you are going as a group of friends, pick another day.

Khaleej Times reports Season 31 tickets at AED 25 on weekdays and AED 30 on weekends, Friday to Sunday, and public holidays. Rides and some attractions are charged separately, as Gulf News notes. Tickets are sold on the Global Village website.

If you would rather not drive

Global Village lists four RTA bus routes: 102 from CentrePoint Metro Station, 103 from Union Metro Station, 104 from Ghubaiba Bus Station, and 106 from Mall of Emirates Metro Station. They run roughly from 3.15pm to 11.15pm daily, with about 30 minutes of travel time, and the RTA answers timetable questions on 800 9090. Khaleej Times listed the same routes last season.

Taxis also serve the venue. Our Dubai taxi fares guide shows how a fare is worked out.
