Getting around Satwa

Al Satwa sits just north of Sheikh Zayed Road (E11), between the Trade Centre district and Jumeirah, with Al Wasl and Al Bada'a as its neighbours. Its main streets are 2nd December Street, formerly Al Diyafah Street, and Al Satwa Road, and the Satwa Roundabout links them to Sheikh Zayed Road.

There is no metro station inside Satwa. The nearest Red Line stations are World Trade Centre and Emirates Towers on Sheikh Zayed Road, and buses run from Satwa Bus Station. Approximate off-peak drive times:

Allow more time at rush hour on Sheikh Zayed Road and the inner roads beside it. Satwa is known for its tailors and fabric shops along Al Satwa Road, and supermarkets, pharmacies and cafes are within walking distance of most buildings, so a car here is mostly for the commute, the school run and trips across the city.

Street parking in Satwa is RTA paid parking and fills up quickly in the evenings, so a smaller car makes daily life easier unless your building includes a space. We deliver across Al Satwa and can meet you at your building or office. Delivery costs from AED 100 depending on the exact location, and collection at the end of the rental is AED 25 more. Trips along Sheikh Zayed Road pass Salik gates, which are passed through at cost plus AED 1 per crossing, itemised on your statement.

• Parking charges while you have the car

Car swaps during the rental are usually available, but never guaranteed.
